Kosmos have developed an interactive, musical

narration of the famous book ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance!’by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees. Join bandy-legged Gerald in the jungle and all the other animals as they tango and, waltz and rock and roll!  The instruments and the dances are introduced in a fun and imaginative way. During the performance, children will be encouraged to get up and dance along. This event will be suitable for children aged 1 – 8 years old.

Kosmos is re-defining the relationship between classical and world music. As described by Richard Morrison, chief music critic of The Times, Kosmos perform with “telepathic rapport, dazzling virtuosity, serious scholarship, intellectual curiosity and impeccable musicianship. I defy you not to be mesmerised.” The members of Kosmos are soloists in their own right and each bring their individual flavour to the group. Kosmos has performed throughout Europe as well as at the UK’s most prestigious music festivals and venues, notably London’s Southbank Centre, Institute of Contemporary Arts and Kings Place, and with live broadcasts on BBC Radio 3, Classic FM and Radio London.
